Buying From Us
Our breeding program is aimed at improving the Bengal breed.
Saranndotz studs, queens and kittens are registered with TICA.
We concentrate on the physical and emotional wellbeing of our kittens, to do so, we provide our kittens with the best food and environment so that our kittens can reach their full potential, growing into healthy adults.
A little about the Bengal:
The Bengal cat was created by crossing an Asian Leopard cat with a domestic cat, which intern created a wild looking, exotic feline with a very domestic temprement. They can grow to be quite large cats, the males average from 10-15 pounds, the females are usually a bit smaller.

A Bengals coat pattern is what makes this breed of cat so aluring, spots, stripes, rosettes and beautiful marbled patterning, grace the pelts of many Bengals. A horizontal flow (meaning the spots or marble pattern flows along the body, from head to tail) is more desirable in a Bengal, aswell as glitter (when the pelt looks as though it is 'glittering' in sun light) as the main aim was to mimic the look of the Wild Asian Leopard cat.

A Bengals personality is also an attractive trait, which they love to show off! They seem to be very happy-go-lucky, intelligent creatures and tend to be very active. You can teach them to fetch! They are easy to train on a harness, have a love for water! and also have a very loving tender side to them, they will always make the time for a cuddle on the sofa, or take a nap on your lap whilst you surf the net.

As with any other pets, a Bengal demands alot of love and attention and wants nothing more then to be a part of the family and I am thrilled to have them as a part of mine!

Physical:
We feed our cats and kittens on a mixed diet of wet food (Whiskas) and dry food (Royal Canin), they also enjoy cooked fish and chicken as a treat. Our Bengals also have access to fresh clean water all the time.

We use environmentally-friendly wood pellets, they are ultra absorbent, biodegradable and have a pine fresh fragrance, the pellets are made from 100% recovered sawdust, which retains its natural pine scent.
Our cats are walked on a cat harness and lead for at least an hour every day, so they can have fresh air and exercise, also in the future I will have a large outside play pen for the kittens and cats to enjoy the sunshine on nice days.

To keep our cats and kittens parasite-free, they are regularly wormed and flea treated with Advocate, which is a flea treatment and wormer combined.

We recommend that our clients spay/neuter their pet kittens by the age of 6-7 months. This allows them to develop their gender characteristics.
Emotional:
Our stud cat Tigzy lives in an outdoor enclosure, this enclosure has a bed area which is insulated and full of his blankets so he's warm and comfy, it also has an outside run with wooden shelves at different heights and a window in the back of it so he can lay on a shelf and keep an eye on what's going on in 'his' garden.

There are two other cat runs which each have cat flaps which lead into two seperate, insulated bed areas in the shed which two queens can live in when they don't have kittens, however I do put the kittens with their mums out in a run on very nice days for them to enjoy the sunshine.

We also have a kitten/birthing room which is in a spare room in our house, it has a heater and a tree sloping from one side to the other for them to play on,
also kittens are born in a spacious birthing box which has a lid so its always quiet, cosy and dark for mummy and kittens to be in peace for the first few weeks.

Once the kittens are 4 weeks old I take the birthing box out so that they can explore the kitten room and start getting more exercise.
When they are 5-6 weeks old I start bringing them into the living room on a daily basis where they spend all day playing, sleeping, exploring and interacting with our other pets and other family members, also getting used to everyday household sounds i.e. the television, phone calls, people and much more so that when they get to their new homes are used to noise and meeting different people.

Toys:
If you ever get the chance, buy one of these tunnels! They are such great fun, my kittens and cats will play with theirs for hours and as you can probably tell from the pictures, they absolutely love it!

Climbing frames:
In the outside runs I have thick tree branches for the cats to climb on and scratch.

In the kitten room there is a tree branch slopeing from one side of the room to the other and there is also a small cat climbing frame for kittens to clamber all over.
Kittens are vaccinated at 9 & 12 weeks old.
Most kittens are ready to be adopted into their new families at 13 weeks old.
Pet kittens receive their registration papers and pedigrees after we receive veterinary proof that the kittens have been spayed/neutered. Show/breeder kittens are given TICA registration 'blue slips' and pedigree at the time of sale.
Please book mark our kittens page and check back often as we may have a kitten that's perfect for you.
